Mini has long been known for combining quirky styling with strong performance and great handling. It's a brand for people who like to drive and want to enjoy the trip, whether it's the morning commute or a weekend getaway. The Mini Clubman builds on that legacy with a four-door that adds room for people and cargo. It has the same eye-catching style as the Mini Hardtop but in a more practical packaging. There's a responsive turbocharged engine with the option for an automatic or manual transmission. It's a compelling choice, but it has a harsh ride that is unsettled on rough pavement. Additionally, the side-hinged tailgate doors provide great access, but there isn't much room for cargo. The Lexus UX is more luxurious, with better cargo room, and will be offered only as a hybrid for the 2023 model year. The Mazda CX-30 has an upscale interior with a wider trim range and lower pricing. The Buick Encore GX also has a comfortable and nicely appointed interior but lacks the performance punch of the Mini Clubman.
